Today I am simply going to draw your attention to 5 key lifestyle changes that very much will effect your health.
We are talking diet, hydration, movement, stress and sleep. Get these 5 areas right and you will go a long way to improving your health. A healthy lifestyle can change everything!
I start with probably what will be the most difficult change for many of you. It was for me. After a lifetime of believing that I was eating well, and often having a diet mainly consisting of protein, filling myself with all forms of red meat and chicken, I came to learn about the dangers to your health from eating animal flesh and organs. In fact a lot of research demonstrated to me that anyone wanting to reclaim good health needed to adopt a plant based diet, preferably a vegan diet. A vegan diet refers to a diet that does not consume animal products or any animal-derived products, such as eggs, milk, cheese, and any other kinds of dairy products. Vegans base their nutrition on plant-based foods only, such as fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts loaded with the essential vitamins and minerals that are good for your body.
Alternatively, if you aren’t willing to go to that extreme, adopt a largely plant-based diet with protein from fish, skinless poultry, nuts, legumes, and small amounts of lean meats which can also open the door to reclaim good health just not as fast or impacting as going Vegan
It is also important to keep your fat content of meals low, my suggestion is no meal should really exceed 10 grams of fat. Cutting down animal products will of course help but you still have to watch out for some of the high fat plant foods like avocado.
Also, its important is to choose foods in forms that are as close as possible to the way they came from nature. An apple, for example, is a better choice than an apple cake. Whole-grain bread trumps white bread, which is made from flour that is stripped of the outer casing of the wheat berry.
Try to avoid processed foods, made in factories by human beings which are often infused with added salt, sugar, and fat. Avoiding these added ingredients is another important goal for those who want to eat for health.
Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.

Did you know that a human body is composed
of over 60% of water? This fact should be your motivation to achieve drinking
at least 8 glasses of water every day. Try and drink at least 2 litres of water
every single day.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)
recommends an intake of 2.5 litres of water for men and 2.0 litres of water for
women per day, via food and drink consumption, of which at least 70-80% of the
daily water intake should come from drinks, and the remaining 20-30% should
come from food.
Water is life’s matter and matrix, mother and medium. There is no life without water.

important to get the right amount of fluid to be healthy.
Water plays a significant role in your body
as it serves as an avenue in carrying out body functions, delivering nutrients
and oxygen, and removing waste in your body. Your body depends on water to
survive. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to work
properly. Hence, you need water as it plays various functions in your various
organ systems. Apart from replenishing our body, drinking water contributes to
weight loss as well. It is also essential for good health. Such an easy change
yet so many of you struggle with it. You must try and do this. When you are thirsty
drink water. Don’t straight away go for tea, coffee, high sugar sodas or diet
drinks. Make your first option always water.
After a natural disaster, safe drinking water is a priority. Humans can live longer without food than water, so communication about clean water is essential to help avoid the risk of cholera, dysentery, malnutrition, famine, and death.

This is simply a must do, and is something every human being has to find a way to exercise. In truth it is no hardship, well at least not for most of us. We are talking about movement, and in this you can include swimming or walking. We have so many options open to us. Dancing, playing sport working out in the garden, cutting, mowing, weeding.

To stay healthy, adults need to be active daily and should do at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity such as cycling or brisk walking every week. One way you can achieve 150 minutes of weekly physical activity is to do 30 minutes on 5 days a week.
If you currently don’t exercise and aren’t very active during the day, any increase in exercise or physical activity is good for you.Some studies show that walking briskly for even one to two hours a week (15 to 20 minutes a day) starts to decrease the chances of having a heart attack or stroke, developing diabetes, or dying prematurely.
Aerobic physical activity helps to protect and maintain heart, lung and circulatory health, thereby reducing your risk of ill health as well as enhancing your mental health and wellbeing and helping you to maintain a healthy body weight.

Stress plays a big part with health problems.
Stress is wreaking havoc in many people’s
lives. So many of you face multiple demands each day, with the pressures from
work, paying the bills and taking care of your family. Stress comes from every
where. Too much stress can be really destructive causing emotional problems, relationship
difficulties, and physical problems.
Bills, work, family, friends, diet,
sleep—there are a million reasons stress piles on. But if your stress response
can’t stop firing, your body will begin to break down.

heart problems, nutritional deficits that impact conditions such as stomach

things you are doing which could be handed over to someone else? You need to make
adjustments to your every day life, prioritise things you are trying to achieve
and reorganise your so you are not trying to do too much.
Stress management strategies include:
Practicing relaxation techniques such as
trying yoga, practicing deep breathing, getting a massage or learning to
meditate
Taking time for hobbies, such as reading a
book or listening to music
Try mindfulness – studies have found
mindfulness can help reduce stress and improve your mood
Listen to relaxing music

Night night time to go to bed. Get those 8 hours of deep sleep which will really help you to reclaim your health. This is one of those lifestyle changes that we talk about but very rarely see it as important. So many of you go to bed late and struggle to wake up in the morning. Worse still lots of people seem to find a good night sleep impossible. They spend very restless nights, struggling to get to sleep and even when they do finding themselves waking up multiple times.
What would it feel like to wake up feeling your best, to have loads of energy, to finally feel in control of your health and make healthier decisions for yourself?
One of those decisions has to be to do your upmost to get 8 hours of sleep nightly. You may have to make other adjustments to help you get undisturbed sleep. Make sure your room is totally dark at night, mattress comfortable, and pillow relaxing. Try to avoid bright screens at least an hour before bed, and don’t drink at least 2 hours before bed time.
